The Struggle of Mr. Birchwood, a short story by me.

World Literature assignment: Write a short story that has round, dynamic characters and accomplish characterization. Hooray for creative writing! So I decided to write about a non-dynamic character named Mr. Birchwood. Confused yet? It gets better. Take a look :)

Synopsis: Two college students encounter an old professor's journal, about an imaginary land and a man by the name of Mr. Birchwood, who died too early of cancer. Now two students, who have nothing in common and detest each other, have to work together to create the end of the story, fighting their own foes, with struggles on their side.

Summer 2012; guess where I'm off to!

So, today, my mom made it 90% official! I'm a go for New York! I don't get to see this view every single day, but I get to stand on its floors again! Man, how I've missed NY, and I get to stay for a month, maybe more...snicker. :) How can you not fall in love with such a beautiful sight? And to think, it's better if you get to see this in lights at night, but we'll save that for when I actually get there. New York City, prepare to get a taste of Brittany!

Poultry show!

Yesterday, me and my brother and cousin were sitting in a room in my grandmother's house and decided to record some videos about a stuffed chicken animal named Rico Suevo and BAM! Thus came the poultry show, about different comedy sketches and just a family having fun. Check back for videos and other bloopers and things, it's definitely something worth checking! Milestones!

Today I took my PSAT, which stands for Preliminary SAT. So, it's like the SAT, but colleges don't care about it too much that they will use it in my application portfolio. PSAT wasn't too bad. Stumbled on the Critical Reading section, which should be more than 25 minutes long to complete, because of all that reading! Alas, again it doesn't count! Now I'm taking a break from doing my homework. I feel mega worked from working since 8 in the morning. But, everything is fine with God on your side!

Other milestones:
-I'm getting my driving permit soon! 15 1/2 finally and in need of practicing on the road! Oh, that will be the day when my dad cries, that and college. Even I think I'm growing up too fast!
-Science bowl permission slips have been turned in! I'm an official participant, and ready to serve! I wouldn't be surprised if all the teachers think I'm super good, cause well, I like to think I am! 3 years serving in regionals in a row! And, I would love to make this my fourth.
-Hmm, let's see. Theatre things have been going well, haven't gotten time to work on my play unfortunately. Hopefully this weekend I will!

And, I suppose that's all for milestones. Good and bad things have happened, and I hope that later, everything will go according to God's plan, as much as I'll love it or hate. Auf Wiedersen!;Brittany.

Go back to High School!

Well, the long hiatus means Sophomore year has started! Waking up at 7:15 each morning to drive 3 minutes to school is okay, some days better than others. I'm doing particularly well in my studies, no Cs yet! I don't jinx nothing, for now haha. Crazy how I'm actually double digit grade now. I'm really old, haha. Well, I should get back to enjoying life, until tomorrow! Toodles; Brittany (:

When someone, who once used to be close to you, falls away like that, all it does is just breaks your heart. Realizing that...I never expected this, I guess I can't say that I saw it coming. I just wish, I could tell him that life without the Cross is life without faith, without love.

So, I guess my best friend was right.
You can't complain about any part you take in a play. I know that this is only my second play, and I have less experience than everyone else, but I'm figuring that whatever part I'll take I'll have to take it. It's only going to make me grow stronger as an actress. The thing with Into the Woods is, is that it's one of my favorites. Funny how that all tied in together. I love the role of the Baker's Wife, because she goes on an adventure to find the things the witch commanded her to get so she can have a child. And she then gets lost in the woods and falls into the hands of the Prince, then gets crushed by a tree. Either her or the witch I guess. But just hearing the words if I get the role of a Stepsister hurts me, because that is the LAST role I want, well besides Giant's wife. Fine, second to last role! Oh and Cinderella's mother. Kay those are the roles I have no desire to take. Considerably cause they are the smallest, but I feel like I can do so much more. (Pride issue and pursue to be star here.) But, I still don't know what's right. School production vs. ACMT? Nothing wrong with school. Might be a better chance to get in touch with everyone. It never hurt to audition, except, what if auditioning equals doing?
